Hello again, party people!
Six weeks in and the sun (quite literally, as you’ll see below) hasn’t stopped shining on us. Bank Holiday orders are in full swing, and now there’s something even bigger on the horizon that’s got the whole team buzzing: a solar eclipse, right here over the UK.
Here’s what’s been going on this week.

Something Rare Is Heading Our Way 🌒
Mark your diaries, because on Wednesday 12th August the UK is in for its biggest solar eclipse in decades. We won’t get full totality here (you’d need to be in Spain, Iceland or Greenland for that), but we’re looking at up to 90-96% of the sun covered by the moon, which is the deepest eclipse Britain has seen since 1999. It’ll happen low in the western sky through the evening, with the moon’s shadow creeping across the sun from around 6pm and reaching its most dramatic point around 7:12pm BST.
That’s a proper once-in-a-generation moment, and we don’t think it’s one to spend indoors.

Turning It Into a Party (Obviously) 🥳🕶️
You know us, we can’t resist an excuse for a get-together, and an evening eclipse is basically the perfect summer party built in. Picture it: garden chairs out, blankets down, everyone facing west with a proper pair of eclipse glasses on, sweetie bags getting passed round while the sky does something most of us will never see again in our lifetimes.
We’re pulling together a little eclipse-inspired bundle for the occasion, moon-and-stars sweet mixes, and yes, we’ve made sure everything survives an evening in the garden without needing a fridge. Whether it’s a small family moment or you’re inviting half the street round, we want to help you make an evening of it.
A quick but important note: never look directly at the sun without certified eclipse glasses, not even during the deepest part of the eclipse. We’ll be pointing folks toward proper safety guidance closer to the day.

Bank Holiday Orders Are Rolling In ☀️🎉
Alongside all the eclipse excitement, Bank Holiday planning is well underway too. Thank you to everyone who’s already got their garden party orders in, we’re loving seeing the plans come together. If you haven’t sorted your sweets and favours yet, there’s still time, but the diary is filling up fast.

A Little Thank You, As Always 💛
Six weeks in, and honestly, watching this little shop grow week by week still doesn’t feel real. Thank you for every order, every message, and every bit of encouragement along the way, it means more than you know

.
What’s Next?
Eclipse-day essentials, Bank Holiday inspiration, and hopefully clear skies for the big night itself. As ever, if there’s something you’d love us to stock for the occasion, just drop us a message.
Here’s to two months and to looking up at something pretty special together! 🌘🎈
